Serve (a gateway to knowledge)

I know the controversies that will flow through most heart when reading this is going to be, why should I be someones servant?
At least its talking about serving!
Yes "serve", I had to keep it fitted in my heart and also a self experienced process before i push it out to you.
You serving is a test to see your capability in some sense, and see your level of responsibility. To some its not worth it, but if you have a leadership spirit, this principle will be in tune with your philosophy.

You "serving" is a channel to increase in knowledge, you are not a slave, you are just sharing part of the knowledge you have within you to the entities around you.

illustration
A filled cup tend to release or let go of excess content when it is full, the only reason you are there to serve in the first place is because you have something to offer. That alone should give you a conscious understanding of yourself that your service to wherever you may be is unique.

Understand that leaders also serve, they even serve more compared to the followers, because they have to deliver more. To whom much is given, much is expected (AJABA 1:1).

So wherever you may find yourself, at that mall, restaurant, book store, bank, security officer ........., you are unique at what you are doing, and nobody can do it better than you. You have of worth, and valuable to that establishment.

So my friends around the globe, make sure you share this with friends, neighbors, if possible an enemy that you know that is serving in a place, tell them they are unique at what they are doing.

Put a smile in their faces today.

Do have a great day.

9 TIPS TO END A SPEECH WITH A BANG (Brian tracy covers)

9 TIPS TO END A SPEECH WITH A BANG

A good talk or public speech is like a good play, movie, or song.

It opens by arresting the listener’s attention, develops point by point, and then ends strongly.
The truth is, if you don’t know how to end a speech your key points may get lost.
The words you say at the beginning, and especially at the end of your talk, will be remembered longer than almost any other part of your speech.
Some of the great speeches in history have ended with powerful, stirring words that live on in memory.
How do you end a speech and get the standing ovation that you deserve?
Keep reading to discover how…
Here are 9 tips and examples for concluding a speech.

1) PLAN YOUR CLOSING REMARKS WORD FOR WORD

To ensure that your conclusion is as powerful as it can be, you must plan it word for word.
Ask yourself, “What is the purpose of this talk?”
Your answer should involve the actions that you want your listeners to take after hearing you speak on this subject.
When you are clear about the end result you desire, it becomes much easier to design a conclusion that asks your listeners to take that action.
The best strategy for ending with a BANG is to plan your close before you plan the rest of your speech.
You then go back and design your opening so that it sets the stage for your conclusion.
The body of your talk is where you present your ideas and make your case for what you want the audience to thin, remember, and do after hearing you speak.

2) ALWAYS END A SPEECH WITH A CALL TO ACTION

It is especially important to tell the audience what you want it to do as a result of hearing you speak.
A call to action is the best way to wrap up your talk with strength and power.
Listen to how Tony Robbins ends this TED talk with a call to action. He begins his close at 18:00 minutes.
He also tells a great story at the end of his speech, which we’ll discuss more in a moment…

HERE IS A SPEECH CONCLUSION CALL TO ACTION EXAMPLE

“We have great challenges and great opportunities, and with your help, we will meet them and make this next year the best year in our history!”
Whatever you say, imagine an exclamation point at the end. As you approach the conclusion, pick up your energy and tempo.
Speak with strength and emphasis.
Drive the final point home.
Regardless of whether the audience participants agree with your or are willing to do what you ask, it should be perfectly clear to them what you are requesting.

3) END A SPEECH WITH A SUMMARY

There is a simple formula for any talk:
  1. Tell them what you are going to tell them.
  2. Tell them.
  3. Then, tell them what you told them.
As you approach the end of your talk, say something like,
“Let me briefly restate these main points…”
You then list your key points, one by one, and repeat them to the audience, showing how each of them links to the other points.
Audiences appreciate a linear repetition of what they have just heard.
This makes it clear that you are coming to the end of your talk.

4) CLOSE WITH A STORY

As you reach the end of your talk, you can say,
“Let me tell you a story that illustrates what I have been talking about…”
You then tell a brief story with a moral, and then tell the audience what the moral is.
Don’t leave it to them to figure out for themselves.
Often you can close with a story that illustrates your key points and then clearly links to the key message that you are making with your speech.
To learn more about storytelling in speaking, you can read my previous blog post “8 Public Speaking Tips to Wow Your Audience.”
Here’s a recap of these 4 tips in a video…
Keep reading for the other 5 speech conclusion techniques.

5) MAKE THEM LAUGH

You can close with humor.
You can tell a joke that loops back into your subject and repeats the lesson or main point you are making with a story that makes everyone laugh.
During my talks on planning and persistence, I discuss the biggest enemy that we have, which is the tendency to follow the path of least resistance. I then tell this story.
Ole and Sven are out hunting in Minnesota and they shoot a deer. They begin dragging the deer back to the truck by the tail, but they keep slipping and losing both their grip and their balance.
A farmer comes along and asks them, “What are you boys doing?”
They reply, “We’re dragging the deer back to the truck.”
The farmer tells them, “You are not supposed to drag a deer by the tail. You’re supposed to drag the deer by the handles. They’re called antlers. You’re supposed to drag a deer by the antlers.”
Ole an Sven say, “Thank you very much for the idea.”
They begin pulling the deer by the antlers. After about five minutes, they are making rapid progress. Ole says to Sven, “Sven, the farmer was right. It goes a lot easier by the antlers.”
Sven replies, “Yeah, but we’re getting farther and farther from the truck.”
After the laughter dies down, I say…
“The majority of people in life are pulling the easy way, but they are getting further and further from the ‘truck’ or their real goals and objectives.”
That’s just one example of closing using humor.

6) MAKE IT RHYME

You can close with a poem.
There are many fine poems that contain messages that summarize the key points you want to make.
You can select a poem that is moving, dramatic, or emotional.
For years I ended seminars with the poem, “Don’t Quit,” or “Carry On!” by Robert W. Service. It was always well received by the audience.

7) CLOSE WITH INSPIRATION

You can end a speech with something inspirational as well.
If you have given an uplifting talk, remember that hope is, and has always been, the main religion of mankind.
People love to be motivated and inspired to be or do something different and better in the future.
Remember, everyone in your audience is dealing with problems, difficulties, challenges, disappointments, setbacks, and temporary failures.
For this reason, everyone appreciates a story or poem of encouragement that gives them strength and courage.
When you tell a story or recite a poem, you must become an actor.
Here are 7 Tips to Tell an Inspiring Poem or Story to End Your Speech
  • You have to slow down and add emotion and drama to your words.
  • Raise your voice on a key line of the poem, and then drop it when you’re saying something that is intimate and emotional.
  • Pick up the tempo occasionally as you go through the story or poem, but them slow down on the most memorable parts.
  • Especially, double the number of pauses you normally use in a conversation.
  • Use dramatic pauses at the end of a line to allow the audience to digest the words and catch up with you.
  • Smile if the line is funny, and be serious if the line is more thought provoking or emotional.
  • When you come to the end of your talk, be sure to bring your voice up on the last line, rather than letting it drop. Remember the“exclamation point” at the end.
Try practicing on this poem that I referenced above…
Identify the key lines, intimate parts and memorable parts, and recite it.

8) MAKE IT CLEAR THAT YOU’RE DONE

When you say your final words, it should be clear to everyone that you have ended. There should be no ambiguity or confusion in the mind of your audience. The audience members should know that this is the end.
Many speakers just allow their talks to wind down.
They say something like, “Well, that just about covers it. Thank you.”
This isn’t a good idea…
It’s not powerful…
It’s not an authoritative ending and thus detracts from your credibility and influence.
When you have concluded, discipline yourself to stand perfectly still. Select a friendly face in the audience and look straight at that person.
If it is appropriate, smile warmly at that person to signal that your speech has come to an end.
Resist the temptation to:
  • Shuffle papers.
  • Fidget with your clothes or microphone.
  • Move forward, backward, or sideways.
  • Do anything else except stand solidly, like a tree.
Take a look at this video of how I ended a speech when I received an award from the National Speakers Association. I ended this speech exactly how I described here.

9) LET THEM APPLAUD

When you have finished your talk, the audience members will want to applaud…
What they need from you is a clear signal that now is the time to begin clapping.
How do you signal this?
Some people will recognize sooner than others that you have concluded your remarks.
In many cases, when you make your concluding comments and stop talking, the audience members will be completely silent.
They may be unsure whether you are finished.
They may be processing your final remarks and thinking them over. They may not know what to do until someone else does something.
In a few seconds, which will often feel like several minutes, people will applaud.
First one…
Then another…
Then the entire audience will begin clapping.
When someone begins to applaud, look directly at that person, smile, and mouth the words thank you.
As more and more people applaud, sweep slowly from person to person, nodding, smiling and saying, “Thank You.”
Eventually the whole room will be clapping.

BONUS TIP: HOW TO HANDLE A STANDING OVATION

If you have given a moving talk and really connected with your audience, someone will stand up and applaud. When this happens, encourage others by looking directly at the clapper and saying, “Thank you.”
This will often prompt other members of the audience to stand.
As people see others standing, they will stand as well, applauding the whole time.
It is not uncommon for a speaker to conclude his or her remarks, stand silently, and have the entire audience sit silently in response.

STAND COMFORTABLY AND SHAKE HANDS

But as the speaker stands there comfortably, waiting for the audience to realize the talk is over, one by one people will begin to applaud and often stand up one by one.
If the first row of audience members is close in front of you, step or lean forward and shake that person’s hand when one of them stands up to applaud.
When you shake hands with one person in the audience, many other people in the audience feel that you are shaking their hands and congratulating them as well.
They will then stand up and applaud.
Soon the whole room will be standing and applauding.
Whether you receive a standing ovation or not, if your introducer comes back on to thank you on behalf of the audience, smile and shake their hand warmly.
If it’s appropriate, give the introducer a hug of thanks, wave in a friendly way to the audience, and then move aside and give the introducer the stage.
Follow these tips to get that standing ovation every time.

Live Purposeful

LIVE PURPOSEFULLY!

Purpose is an idea or aim kept in mind as a goal towards which one's effort is directed. Intention is the object or reason for which something is done.
Your main purpose in life is to do the will of God. (Rom12:2,8:30). There are three dimensions of God's will for mankind. They are the GOODWILL, the ACCEPTABLE WILL and the PERFECT WILL of God.

  •     The goodwill of God is the general will of God.
  •     The acceptable will of God is asking of God
  •     The perfect will of God is God's will for you.

If whatever you do in life is not for the sake of God and his kingdom, you don't have a purpose yet.
Lack of purpose leads to frustration.
A life without a purpose is a confusion without being aware of what d confusion is.
Being in a professional field is not your vision its just a means to support your purpose.
The only way you can be fulfilled in life is if your purpose is aligned with God's will for your life.
Take note of this, you are not in this world without a purpose, you were not born by happenstance or circumstance, but by the sovereign proclamation of divine enterprise (Jer1:5).

Don't ever look down on yourself, what you are going through now doesn't matter, God has deposited something BIG inside each and everyone of us. We have been created to solve the world problems.
If you think you are not qualified I have good news for you because God is always in the habit of qualifying the unqualified.
Don't give up on YOU because God will never give up on YOU. All you need to do is believe and trust God to help you achieve your purpose in life (Eph2:10).
The climax of satisfaction in this world is living a purposeful life. If you don't know your purpose yet, ask God to reveal your purpose to you. I pray that God will help us all live a purposeful life. Have a blessed and God-filled day.   -funmi. (HoD intl.)‎

Thanksgiving

I hope you develop the habit of giving thanks more after reading today's word.
Thanksgiving-Psalm 95vs1-6, Colossians 3vs16
Thanking God should be an habitual thing for you and I. A thankful heart will experience a thankful of blessings and it takes a genuine thanksgiving to experience total blessings, deliverance, breakthrough, healing, miracles and many more.like the story of the ten lepers in Luke 17vs11-19, the one that came back to say thank you received total healing.
There are many ways to give thanks to God
* Prayer: prayer changes things (John 11vs39-44). It makes the impossible possible. It can turn a situation around in your favor (Philippians 4vs6, Colossians 4vs2, 1 Thessalonians 5vs16-18).
* Testimony (Revelation 12vs11, Luke 8vs39). Testimony shared is a blessing recovered and made permanent (Matthew 9vs27-31). Do not be ashamed to testify to the goodness of God in your life (Mark 8vs38).
* Praise and Worship (Psalm 150vs1-6). When you pray, God acts but when you praise, God moves (Zephaniah 3vs17). Praising God means we you are acknowledging his name, we are showing gratitude for what he has done for us (Hebrews 13vs15). If we don't acknowledge God, we are flotsam in the universe. Have you ever praise God before and feel goose bumps(goose pimples) on your skin? that is "deep praise".
You don't have to wait for God to do something specific for you before you give him thanks. Being alive to see a new day is a reason, you don't have shoes! someone out there is wishing for even one leg.
You need other reasons to give thanks? Psalm 117 is a pointer. You've lost something, God is the reason you've not lost all so he deserves your, my thanks (Psalm 30vs11-12, Psalm 146vs1-2).
Worship is the thank you that refused to be silenced, it is the thank you offered by the saved to the savior. This should be done in truth and in spirit (John 4vs23-24) so why not give God your best worship today and see if he won't open the windows of heaven and pour out his unlimited blessings upon you.
We are created to make his praise glorious, so give God your highest praise, do for him what he can not do for himself 'cos God inhabit the praises of his people and we are his people (1 Peter 2vs9).
You can praise God anytime of the day, anywhere. Praise him in the morning, noon time, in the night even in your dreams. You can praise him in your bedroom, place of work, kitchen even in your bathroom, he is everywhere you know.
A closed mouth is a closed destiny so why not open your mouth and pray, testify and give God your best praise today and I pray that God will bless you in a way that you will never recover from his blessings (Amen). Have you thanked God today? Good morning house. -Tomi (HoD intl.)‎

God's Love

Good morning house.
I want to share something that God recently reminded me of.
I know its something we all know, but a little reminder once in a while is highly profitable. Its from Mark 12:29 where one of the teachers of the law asked Jesus what commandment was the greatest and Jesus answered saying: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and strength while the second is Love your neighbour as yourself'.

Most times we Christians focus on being spiritual; fasting, praying, studying the word, going to church etc. They are all very very necessary but at the same time we shouldn't neglect this important requirement by God.
Some people undertake spiritual exercises in order to be able to handle issues of life, overcome challenges or gain more anointing which isnt bad at all but remember to keep Jesus as your focus and let your love for Him be the reason for all you do.
As equally important is love for people. God loves people and they are His top priority; afterall He made them(us) in His image. So if you want to touch God's heart, love people. Remember when Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him and then commanded him to feed His sheep(John 21:15-17) and also when Jesus said it is by love that men would know we are His disciples(John 13:35).

Most times showing love towards the people we meet daily has more effect than our preaching. It musnt be far fetched; a smile, an encouraging word, genuine care & concern, a listening ear, a helping hand, little gifts are all various ways the Holy spirit can use us to brighten up someone's day and make a difference. So in all we do today, let love lead.
"Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in them" (1 john 4:16). "And now these three remain; faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is Love" (1cor 13:13). God bless!     -Lisa (HoD Intl.)‎

The Perfect Illusion

The perfect illusion 1
Introduction: (roman 12:2)
For the words that will be coming down are from the throne of grace, but will major more into 21st century we are in. Understand this, God is past, present, the future and we (Man) lives in seasons and since this phenomenon occurs, we thought we should upgrade in thought, action, relationship, believes, music, fashion, (yes we must grow in the lord, in faith), these are important!, but less we know that the thought of our God towards us is different (psalm 33:11).

The thought and mind of man needs to be renewed in the capacity of the creator (roman 12:2). Understanding that God is whole and forever he will be and he gives to man all he needs (Rev 21:6).

Renewed Mind in the capacity of the Creator

Believing (Having Faith) that God is the source and not a resource (I am the Lord, your Holy ONE, the creator of Israel, your King), in him all things are made and created to FEAR (honour, respect, value, consciousness of) him.
But you must know that He is, and change not and that all things man desire are in Him (Matt 6:33, luke 12:31)

Must relate to him with a relationship that differs from that of student and rabbi and look unto him as the author and the finisher of your faith, and to every single step you take makes a mark (Heb 11:6)

Know this;
"Event is not result, but the "decision" made in the event is what determines the result (fullness of God) in our life. - Pst Wole Albert

21st (real life) century experience (relationships)
Let God be God and Man be Man: we see God as one "big mystical being", mirage in the sky, wall, sea. So God is there and I can do my little things and he won't know (1 chro 17:17), he see all we do, and he rewards those that are His. But see God as a friend, Brother, Sister, Father, Mother, Mentor, your main Man "Paddy" (context of best friends) that you talk to one on one and share what you are going through. And less you forget that ye are God and you should behave as one (Gen 1:26).
Explanation: we thinks he is not there, but Abraham spoke with him, samuel( hear from), david (spoke to)..... list of few‎‎
Know that God created you perfect and your are to work perfectly. See yourself as an Automobile from "Godconomy" company and had an engine "problem", the beauty of God is that he won't forge that part that got spoilt, he gives you a whole new one without dent/stain/bumps (2 Cor 5:17)

To the world, they say "Nothing is either right or wrong, but thinking makes it so" -William Shakespeare
The THINKING in this context to us (Kingdom Mind) is known as "Conscience". This, God has put in the heart of man as the "Holy spirit"  to guide us daily (John 14:26)

Note:
Gen 1:1-3 occur through? (spoken word), and the principle of God change  not, whatever you need;
Good relationship/character (eph 4:31-32)
Good job (phil 4:19)
Good health (isa 53:5)
Good education (Dan 1:17)
Good family (isa 61:9)
That contract (isa 32:20)‎
That peer pressure (Proverb)
That financial issue (phil 4:19)
All you need is to function in your full capacity as a God and do as your father does. And speak (Matt 7:7-8), because God will stand by his word (Roman 3:4)

I leave you all with this, that our faith should daily grow in the understanding of our source and creator our father
Psalm 40:4
Amen
Have a blessed and wonderful day ahead.‎
